New, improved and impressive, the Sami Family Amphitheater at Zoo Miami has recently undergone a fantastic transformation. From an old venue with broken down rock structures and wooden benches, the Amphitheater has emerged as a state-of-the-art facility that will host daily wildlife shows and other educational or performance-based events. The main building takes the form of a mountainside temple in the middle of a jungle. The setting is enhanced by a tropical waterfall and a serene stream of water. Bromeliads, ferns and vines creep over the building, and custom lighting sets the scene for the many events to come. So far, the newly renovated Sami Family Amphitheater is a masterpiece A beautiful canopy covers the entire seating area and the stage, shielding visitors from harsh weather.
The Sami Family Amphitheater’s primary use is for the Wildlife Show which is being held daily at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Interested visitors have over 800 colorful seats to choose from, all complete with backs and armrests.
