EXPERIENCE THE OFFICIAL UNVEILING OF ZOO MIAMI’S NEW $19 MILLION, 1.5 ACRE ENTRY PLAZA ON FRIDAY, JULY 15

WHAT:             
Media is invited to the official unveiling of Zoo Miami’s new $19 million, 1.5 acre Entry Plaza and welcome back our flock of flamingos in their new exhibit.  See a sleek 3D Zoo Miami sculptural sign, 24 colorful life-size animal silhouettes, new ticketing offices, a 3,500 square-foot gift shop, a 5,872 square-foot sales and event building with rental facilities and an illuminated 50 foot Zoo Miami tower with informational LED screens at its base-all partially shaded by a “cloud-like” roof structure. 

The public is invited to join in our Entry Plaza celebration from 11 am – 4 pm from July 15-17.  There will be musical performers, entertainers, live chalk art, special zookeeper talks, animal encounters and more.  The first 1,000 guests each day receive a free gift.
