Powerful, large and in charge, the rhinos at Zoo Miami are often a favorite for many visitors. Their massive bodies, covered with an armor-like exterior, make them seem quite intimidating and maybe even frightening. That is, until you get to know them. At the Kaziranga Camp Rhino Encounter, visitors have the opportunity to meet Suru, our Indian Rhinos. Suru underwent months of training for this encounter experience, by means of audio clues so they know when to come up to the encounter area. At the encounter station, the rhino will come right up to a fence, where visitors feed our Indian Rhino for a small fee of $5. Get an up close look at the rhinos’ rough exterior and their small black eyes. Kids are sure to get excited about this unique experience! The Kaziranga Camp Rhino Encounter is open every day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Closing time can vary. Please see the encounter menu board for more details.)
Adopt an Animal
