Fri Oct 27: Ivory Investigation
Visit with some of our largest animals at the Zoo, elephants! Investigate the ivory trade and how it is affecting these gentle giants.
Fri Nov 10: Defeating Deforestation
The rate of deforestation equals to the loss of 20 football fields every minute! Learn new and exciting ways we are fighting to change this and what you can do to help! We will get an up-close look at the animals of the Zoo that call these forests home.
Wed Nov 22: Primate Pals
Campers will spend a fun day alongside the playful primates of the Zoo. Investigate the challenges these species face and what we are doing to help.
Mon Jan 15: Global Fever
Learn what is making our planet heat up and meet the animals most affected by these changes. Have fun while exploring ways to reduce your carbon footprint!
Fri Jan 19: Water Watch
Learn about saving one of the most precious resources on our planet, water! Find out which animals are most affected by water shortages and fun ways to help conserve water.
Mon Feb 19: Plant Power
This camp day we will be getting our hands dirty as we dig up ways to grow our own food. We will investigate the power of plants and be surprised by which animals at the Zoo thrive off eating only their greens!
Fri Mar 23: Buggin’ Out
Get your magnifying glass ready as we explore the world of bugs! Find out what a big impact these tiny species have on our plant! Meet the animals of the Zoo that love to grub on some bugs and then go on an insect hunt to see what little friends we can find hiding around the Zoo!
Fri Apr 20: Solar Story
Learn about solar energy and how important our sun is to all life on our planet! Campers will meet animals that live in some of the most extreme habitats in the world, deserts! Discover what adaptations animals must have to survive under the blazing sun.
