Gorillas will be off display until further notice.  Our Children's Zoo area is undergoing some renovations from February 27 to April 1.  All other areas of Zoo Miami are OPEN for your enjoyment!  We apologize for the inconvenience.

Asian Riverlife

A winding path and serene sounds of waterfalls engage visitors on a small journey in the Asian River Life exhibit, a special section of Zoo Miami that imitates the setting of an Asian river. Tropical mists and exotic sounds will surround visitors as they explore and observe animals native to wild Asia. Here, you can watch the playful small-clawed Asian otters splashing and swimming as well as examine the Monitor Lizard. Try to spot the beautiful clouded leopards as they lounge around in their habitat. Or, look out for smaller critters like the Rhino ratsnake. The Asian River Life exhibit also features the Falcon Batchelor Komodo Dragon Encounter. This large exhibit, home to the biggest and most powerful lizards in the world, was inspired by the lizard’s native island of Komodo.
