ZOO MIAMI $5 DAYS PRESENTED BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY

Adults and kids can enjoy discounted admission to the zoo from July 2 – July 6, 2014

MIAMI, FL – (June 23, 2014) – Come and join Zoo Miami for fun and affordable deals with family and friends this summer. For the fifth year in a row, Zoo Miami is offering a hot summer special of $5 admission, sponsored by Ford Motor Company.

“Ford is once again excited to provide support to Zoo Miami to help get the community out during the holiday,” said Jim Vella, President, Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services. “Just as Zoo Miami is an active leader in global wildlife and environmental conservation initiatives, Ford wants to be an active leader in providing solutions to accessing community resources and treasures like Zoo Miami.”

Representatives from Ford will be hosting events on July 2-6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors will receive prizes when they register to win a new 2015 Ford Fusion and will be able to view some of their latest car models.

Guests visiting on these discounted days can enjoy seeing the lions, tigers and bears along with the normal attractions offered by the zoo. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be great family   giveaways from Walmart on July 3 & 4. Tampico will also be distributing free irresistible fruit flavored drink samples to help keep visitors refreshed on July 4 & 5. Last but never the least, Greyhound partners will be handing out gifts on July 5 & 6.

“We’re happy to work with Ford Motor Company to provide this summer time deal yet again,” said Eric Stephens, Zoo Miami Director. “It’s great to give so many new visitors the opportunity to explore everything Zoo Miami has to offer.”

To help each guest on these enjoyable days, Zoo Miami has a handy mobile app for iPhone and Android that provides users with a map, calendar, animal facts and more information. The application can be found by searching for Zoo Miami in the App Store or Android Marketplace. Free Wi-Fi is also offered in four large, convenient locations throughout the zoo.

For the entire Zoo Miami experience, guests should plan to explore Playworld Playground for some wet and wild fun for the kids. Along the way, stop by the Samburu Giraffe Feeding Station which allows visitors to get up close and personal with a giraffe’s 14-inch tongue. Guests can also feed our Indian rhinoceros or Australian parrots, hop on a camel ride or choose from the many different ways to travel through the zoo to view and learn about all of our animals.
